Crowd Verdict
Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Crowd Verdict collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Crowd Verdict mobile app and these support pages. Crowd Verdict is published by PowerStack Labs, operated by Gökhan Aksoy ("we", "us"). Contact: support@powerstacklabs.io. Our company-wide policy is at powerstacklabs.io/privacy; where the two differ, this one governs Crowd Verdict.
The short version. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number, and we don't sell your data. What we do store is the account we create for your device and the posts and judgments you write — which are public by design, because the whole app is strangers reading them. Crowd Verdict shows rewarded ads you can choose to watch in exchange for credits; those are served by Google AdMob, which receives your device's advertising identifier. You can turn personalised advertising off and still use every part of the app — see section 3.

What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise/GPS location.
- No analytics SDK. We do not track how you move around the app.
- No payment information. The app has no purchases.
2. Who processes your data
- Supabase hosts the database and authentication. See the Supabase privacy policy.
- Anthropic powers the AI Judge. The text of a published question is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a verdict. It is not used to train their models. See the Anthropic privacy policy.
- Google Play and the Apple App Store distribute the app and may collect their own data under Google's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob serves the rewarded ads and receives your device's advertising identifier and IP address. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services, and section 3 below.
- Vercel hosts these support pages and processes standard server request logs. See the Vercel privacy policy.
We never sell your personal information for money, and we never send any of these providers the text you write or your username — with the single exception of Anthropic, which needs the question text to judge it.
3. Advertising
Credits are earned by judging other people's dilemmas. If you run out, the app offers a rewarded ad — a video you choose to watch in exchange for credits. There are no banners, no interstitials, and nothing plays unless you tap to start it.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To do that, AdMob receives your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), your IP address and the coarse region derived from it, and your device model and operating system version. AdMob acts as an independent controller of that data under Google's policy. We never send AdMob your posts, your judgments, or your username.
Turning it off
- iOS. We ask permission before the advertising identifier can be used for tracking. Declining changes nothing about how the app works. Change it any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, under Settings → Google → Ads.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland. A consent form appears before any ad is requested. Decline it and you still get the full app, with non-personalised ads. Reopen it any time under Me → Legal → Ad privacy options.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising activity is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain US state privacy laws; the device controls above are how you opt out.
Please don't put personal information in your posts. Anything you type into a post or judgment is visible to every other user and to anyone who can read the app's public feed. Don't include real names, workplaces, addresses, phone numbers, or photos — yours or anyone else's. Posts containing someone else's private information are removed.
4. Legal basis (UK/EU users)
We process your data on the basis of contract — you can't use a community app without an account and without your posts being stored — and legitimate interests for moderation, abuse prevention, and keeping the credit economy honest.
Personalised advertising runs on consent, collected through the form described in section 3. You can withdraw it at any time under Me → Legal → Ad privacy options without losing access to anything. You can withdraw everything else by deleting your account.
5. Your rights
- Delete everything. In the app: Me → Account → Delete my account. Or request it at powerstacklabs.io/crowd-verdict/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery, and no "deactivated" state.
- Access a copy of your data by emailing us.
- Correct anything wrong by editing or deleting the post.
- Object or complain. UK/EU users may complain to their local data protection authority.
We answer requests within 30 days.
6. Children
Crowd Verdict is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor is using the app, email us and we will delete the account.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Database access is restricted by row-level security, and credit balances can only be changed by server-side functions — never directly by the app. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and ask you to re-accept in the app. Continuing to use Crowd Verdict after a change means you accept the new policy.
