Common questions

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Download the offline pack before you leave the marina and the whole week — anchorages and forecasts — is stored on your phone. There is no signal a few miles offshore, so this is not optional; the app prompts you during setup.

We didn't go where it suggested. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and it is expected. Tap We've arrived and tell it where you actually are — tomorrow's briefing is rebuilt from there.

Why is it telling us to stay put?

The forecast exceeds the wind or sea limit for the crew profile you chose. Those limits are hard filters, not suggestions. You can change the crew profile if you set it more conservatively than you meant to.

Which areas are covered?

Bodrum · Gökova · Hisarönü · Marmaris, and the Ionian. We add regions only once the anchorage data has been reviewed, so coverage grows slowly on purpose.

Is the anchorage data reliable?

Treat it as a well-informed starting point, not gospel. Positions come from OpenStreetMap, shelter ratings are derived from coastline geometry, and descriptions are our own. Always check against a chart and a pilot book.
